Basic Alabama Demographics

Alabama became the 22nd state in 1819.  The capital of Alabama is Montgomery.  In 2015 Alabama had an estimated population of 4,779,736 people.  The state's largest city is Birmingham followed by Montgomery, Mobile, Huntsville, Tuscaloosa, and Hoover.  Considered the Heart of Dixie, Alabama is a great state to start your nursing education!
