Troy University RN to BSN




 

Basic Information: Troy University is located in Troy, Alabama. This program is meant for Registered Nurses wanting to obtain their BSN. The majority of programs require that you have your associate's degree in nursing (ADN). 

Must Dos: Students must apply to Troy University and to the College of Nursing. 

Program Length: This program is offered to be completed in either two or four semesters.

Nursing Prerequisites: Courses include English Composition I/II, Literature, Anatomy & Physiology I/II with Lab, Microbiology with Lab, Chemistry with Lab, Computer Concepts & Applications, Fundamentals of Speech, two Fine Arts classes, Ethics & the Modern World, Pre-Calculus Algebra, Statistics, Nutrition, Pathophysiology, two History classes, Developmental Psychology, and General Psychology or Sociology or Anthropology.

Prior Classwork Information: Students must have at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA.

Application Information: The application for the College of Nursing can be found here.  Students must also submit two letters of recommendation.  There is a $30 non-refundable application fee. The application for Troy University can be found here.  All required documentation listed above must be on file in the Office of Admissions and Records no later than February 1, April 1, July 1, September 1, or November 1. It is the student’s responsibility to verify that all documentation is on file with the Office of Admissions and Records. Incomplete files will not be evaluated by the School of Nursing for admission.  Students will be notified of admission status by March 1, May 15, July 25, October 1 or December 10.
