University of Hawaii Hilo RN to BSN Nursing School


 

Basic Information: The University of Hawaii Hilo is located in Hilo, Hawaii.  This program is meant for registered nurses wanting to obtain their BSN.  The majority of programs require that you have your associate's degree in nursing (ADN).

Must Dos: Students must apply to the University of Hawaii Hilo and to the College of Nursing.

Program Length: This depends on how many courses students take each semester.  Full-time students can complete the program in as little as three semesters and a summer semester.

Nursing Prerequisites: Courses include Expository Writing, six credits Quantitative Reasoning, Anthropology, Language Arts, Humanities, Psychology, Anatomy & Physiology I/II with Lab, Microbiology with Lab, Survey of Organic Chemistry & Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Pathophysiology, Statistics, Nutrition, Developmental Psychology, and one nursing elective course. Prior Classwork Information: Students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.7 or better.

Admission Tests: Students must take the Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) exam.
