University of Hawaii RN to BSN




 

Basic Information: The University of Hawaii is located in Honolulu, Hawaii. Students must have their RN license in good standing.  This program is meant for Registered Nurses wanting to obtain their BSN.  It requires that students have their associate's degree in nursing (ADN).  There is also the "Executive RN to BSN" program for RNs (with their ADN) with two or more years nursing experience.  Information on this program can be found here

Must Dos: Students must apply to the University of Hawaii and to the College of Nursing.

Program Length: This program starts at the beginning of one summer and ends at the end of the next summer.  For example, your program would start in June 2013 and end August 2014. It is a total of 40 credit hours.  It says that the program can be completed in 15-23 months so it is somewhat flexible.

Nursing Prerequisites: The prerequisites courses are 44 credits including natural sciences, social sciences, physical sciences, symbolic reasoning, statistics, pharmacology, written communication, global/multicultural perspectives, and arts/humanities/literature.  A list of all required credits can be found here
