University of Missouri-Columbia RN to BSN




 

Basic Information: This branch of the University of Missouri is located in Columbia, Missouri.  This program is meant for Registered Nurses wanting to obtain their BSN.  The majority of programs require that you have your associate's degree in nursing (ADN). 

Must Dos: Students must apply to the University of Missouri and to the College of Nursing.

Program Length: The length of program varies depending on how many prerequisite classes have been completed and whether the student wants to go part-time or full-time.  A sample plan of study can be found here

Nursing Prerequisites: Courses include English Composition, Humanities or Fine Arts (9 credits), History or Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, College Algebra, Statistics, Microbiology with Lab, Anatomy & Physiology with Labs, Pharmacology, Human Growth & Development, Nutrition & Diet Therapy, Social/Behavioral Sciences (6 credits), and electives (6 credits).

Prior Classwork Information: Students must have at least a 2.8 cumulative GPA in their prior classes.
