Second Degree Accelerated BSN


Basic Information: The University of Nebraska is located in Omaha, Nebraska. This program only starts once a year in May.  This program is for students who have already earned a bachelor's degree in another field and have finished the basic requirements for their BSN. 

Must Dos: Students must apply to the University of Nebraska and to the College of Nursing.

Program Length: 12 months long.

Nursing Prerequisites: Courses include English Composition I/II, Psychology, Sociology, Human Growth & Development, Chemistry, College Algebra, Statistics, Anatomy & Physiology I/II, Ethics, Microbiology, Nutrition, Humanities, Culture OR Race OR Ethnicity Or Gender, Family OR Human Behavior, and Political Science OR Social Organization.  Students must complete these courses with a grade of at least a C or better.  Prerequisite courses are not offered by University of Nebraska Medical Center.  They can be taken through the university.

Prior Classwork Information: Students must have a cumulative GPA of at least a 2.5 or better.
