Second Degree Accelerated BSN




 

Basic Information: The University of Northern Colorado is located in Greeley, Colorado. The Second Degree Accelerated BSN begins in summer semester after students are admitted to the program.  The brochure for the BSN program can be found here.

Must Dos: Students must apply to the University of Northern Colorado and to the College of Nursing.

Program Length: This program is 20 months long or five consecutive semesters.

Nursing Prerequisites: Courses include the "liberal arts core"  and nursing prerequisite courses. Prerequisite courses include Biochemistry, Biology, Anatomy & Physiology I/II, Microbiology, Pathophysiology, Nutrition, Human Growth & Development, Statistics, and College Research Paper.  Students must complete prerequisite courses with a grade of C or better.

Prior Classwork Information: Student must have a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.0 or better.  This is based off of the most recent 45 credit hours the student has completed as well as nursing prerequisite courses.
