University of Oklahoma RN to BSN




 

Basic Information: The University of Oklahoma is located in Norman, Oklahoma. This program is meant for Registered Nurses wanting to obtain their BSN.  The majority of programs require that you have your associate's degree in nursing (ADN).

Must Dos: Students must apply to the University of Oklahoma and to the College of Nursing.

Program Length: The full-time program lasts nine months and part-time program lasts two years.

Nursing Prerequisites: Courses include English Composition I/II, US Government, US History, Psychology, Sociology, Culture, Developmental Psychology, Statistics, Nutrition, Chemistry with Lab, Microbiology with Lab, and Anatomy & Physiology with Lab. General Education courses include Western Civilization & Culture, Non-Western Civilization & Culture, Understanding Art, a Foreign Language course, and an upper level course outside of the major.  A list of these course descriptions can be found in the Admission Requirements Packet found here.  The science classes cumulative GPA must be at least a 2.5.

Prior Classwork Information: Students must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 for the last 60 credit hours of course work completed.
