Second Degree Accelerated BSN
Basic Information: The University of Washington is located in Seattle, Washington. All information session dates and times can be found here. This program is for students who have already earned a bachelor's degree in another field and have finished the basic requirements for their BSN.
Must Dos: Students must apply to the University of Washington and to the College of Nursing. Students must complete a minimum of 100 hours volunteer or paid health care experience in one setting within a period of three months (completed within the prior year).
Program Length: Five semesters.
Nursing Prerequisites: A minimum college-level cumulative GPA of 2.8 (download the ABSN GPA Worksheet to determine if you are eligible)
- Completion of a minimum of three Natural World prerequisite courses(general chemistry, organic chemistry, microbiology, anatomy, physiology, nutrition) with a minimum grade of 3.0 (“B”) in each
- Completion of Lifespan, Growth and Development and Statistics courseswith a minimum grade of 3.0 in each
Prior Classwork Information: Students must have at least a 2.8 cumulative GPA. Students must complete at least 100 hours of healthcare-related work.

ABSN program applications are generally available in August and are due by October 16 at 5:00pm Pacific Time to begin study the following summer.
