Second Degree Accelerated BSN




 

Basic Information: The University of Washington is located in Seattle, Washington. All information session dates and times can be found here.  This program is for students who have already earned a bachelor's degree in another field and have finished the basic requirements for their BSN. 

Must Dos: Students must apply to the University of Washington and to the College of Nursing. Students must complete a minimum of 100 hours volunteer or paid health care experience in one setting within a period of three months (completed within the prior year).

Program Length: Five semesters.

Nursing Prerequisites: Courses include Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Microbiology, Anatomy & Physiology, Nutrition, Lifespan Growth & Development, and Statistics. These courses must be completed with at least a 3.0 GPA in each course.

Prior Classwork Information: Students must have at least a 2.8 cumulative GPA.

Admission Tests: If you are an international student, you must take an English exam as part of the application process.
