Second Degree Accelerated BSN


Basic Information: The University of Wyoming is located in Laramie, Wyoming.  This program is for students who have already earned a bachelor's degree in another field and have finished the basic requirements for their BSN. 

Must Dos: Students must apply to the University of Wyoming and to the College of Nursing. 

Program Length: This program is 15 months long starting at the beginning of one summer and ending at the end of the next summer.

Prerequisites: Courses include Pathophysiology, Anatomy with Lab, Medical Microbiology, Physiology, Psychology, and Nutrition.  Students must complete all prerequisites with a grade of at least a C or better.  A list of all classes can be found here

Prior Classwork Information: Students must have at least a 2.75 cumulative GPA in prerequisite courses and at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA in their prior bachelor's degree.

Application Information: The application deadline for the College of Nursing is November 1st. The application to the University of Wyoming can be found here

Admission Tests: Students must complete the TEAS-V test. If you are an international student you must complete the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) exam.
