Utah Valley University RN to BSN


Basic Information: Utah Valley University is located in Orem, Utah.  This program is for the RN wishing to gain their BSN. Students must have their ADN in order to apply.

Must Dos: Students must apply to Utah Valley University and to the College of Nursing.

Program Length: This program is meant to take two semesters to complete if all general education and prerequisite courses are completed prior to start of the program.

Nursing Prerequisites: Courses include Chemistry, College Algebra, Anatomy & Physiology I/II with Lab, Introduction to Writing, Microbiology with Lab, and Human Development.  Students must complete these courses with a grade of at least a B-.  Students must also complete Statistics and Pathophysiology prior to graduating from the BSN program.  It is encouraged that these classes be taken prior to entering the program.

Prior Classwork Information: Students must have completed their ADN program with a minimum GPA of 2.0.

Admission Tests: All students must take the Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) exam.  The Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) must be taken by all students for whom English is a second language.
