California State University Bakersfield BSN




 

Basic Information: California State University Bakersfield is located in Bakersfield, California. Students are accepted once a year for the fall quarter.  In Fall 2013, there were 330 applications received and 55 students accepted to the BSN program.  This program is set up for the entry-level freshman wishing to gain their BSN or transfer students who have completed their general education requirements

Must Dos: Students must apply to CSU Bakersfield and to the College of Nursing.

Program Length: The program is three years total with summers off.

Nursing Prerequisites: Courses include Anatomy & Physiology with Lab, Microbiology with Lab, Chemistry with Lab, Statistics, Public Speaking, English Composition, and Critical Thinking.  Prerequisite courses must be completed with a grade of C or better.

Prior Classwork Information: There is no minimum GPA listed for prior classwork information.  In Fall 2013, the average prerequisite GPA and science/math GPA of students accepted was 3.64.
