Charleston Southern University BSN
Basic Information: Charleston Southern University is located in Charleston, South Carolina. This program is set up for the entry-level freshman wishing to gain their BSN or transfer students who have completed their general education requirements.
Must Dos: Students must apply to Charleston Southern University and to the College of Nursing.
Program Length: Four years long.
Nursing Prerequisites: Courses include English Composition I/II, Introduction to Mathematical Structures, Chemistry with Lab, Anatomy & Physiology I/II with Lab, Microbiology with Lab, Psychology, Foundations of Health Care, Religion, Art or Music Appreciation, and Public Speaking. Students must complete at least 17 semester hours of the 34 required prerequisite courses and be in enrolled in the other 17 credits hours at the time of application. All of the prerequisite courses must be completed prior to starting their first nursing course. Students must complete all prerequisite courses with a grade of C or better.
Prior Classwork Information: Students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.9 or better.

Admission Tests: Students must submit their SAT or ACT score if they are age 21 or less. If age 21 or older, students can substitute the Miller Analogies Test (MAT) for the SAT or ACT. Students who have completed at least 34 credits of courses applicable to their BSN can waive all admission tests.
