Basic Information: Chicago State University is located in Chicago, Illinois.  All program information can be found here.  This program is meant for registered nurses wanting to obtain their BSN. The majority of programs require that you have your associate's degree in nursing (ADN).

Must Dos: Students must apply to Chicago State University and to the College of Nursing.

Program Length: There are 35 credit hours of required nursing courses that must be taken after all prerequisite and general education courses are completed.

Nursing Prerequisites: Courses include English Composition I/II, Psychology, Lifespan Developmental Psychology, Cell Biology, Anatomy & Physiology I/II, Microbiology, General & Organic Chemistry, any college level Mathematics course, Sociology, Nutrition, Introduction to Health Professions, Critical Thinking, and nine credits Humanities (with six in one foreign language).  Students must complete all prerequisite courses with a grade of C or better.

Prior Classwork Information: Students must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.75 or better.
