Basic Information: Florida Gulf Coast University is located in Fort Meyers, Florida.  This program is set up for the entry-level freshman wishing to gain their BSN or transfer students who have completed their general education requirements.

Must Dos: Students must apply to Florida Gulf Coast State University and to the College of Nursing.

Program Length: Students starting in fall semester will complete the program in five consecutive semesters.  Students starting in spring semester will complete the program in six consecutive semesters.

Nursing Prerequisites: Courses include Anatomy & Physiology with Lab, Chemistry, Principles of Development, Nutrition, Microbiology with Lab, Psychology, and Statistics.  All courses must be completed with a grade of C or better.  A list of all general education, prerequisite, and nursing core courses can be found here

Prior Classwork Information: Students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.

Application Information:  Applications are available December 1st for fall semester and April 11th for spring semester.  Application deadlines are February 1st for fall semester and May 15th for spring semester.  The application for Florida Gulf Coast University can be found here

Admission Tests: Students must complete the Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) exam.
