Basic Information: Indiana State University is located in Terre Haute, Indiana.  This program is set up for the entry-level freshman wishing to gain their BS or transfer students who have completed their general education requirements. This degree is not a "BSN," but instead is a BS with a major in nursing.

Must Dos: Students must apply to Indiana State University and to the College of Nursing, Health, and Human Services.

Program Length: Four years from start of degree to finish.

Nursing Prerequisites: Anatomy & Physiology I/II with Lab, Microbiology with Lab, Chemistry with Lab, Introduction to Speech Communication, Freshman Writing I/II OR Freshman Writing I and Rhetoric & Writing, Advanced Expository Writing or Technical Writing, Mathematics or Quantitative Literacy course, Nutrition, Psychology, Developmental Psychology. Students must achieve a grade of at least a C in all prerequisite courses.

Prior Classwork Information: Students must have at least a 2.75 cumulative GPA.

Admission Tests: It is recommended to have at least a 17 (ACT) or 430 (SAT) for Math and a 20 (ACT) or 510 (SAT) in English/Verbal.  It is required that you take the Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) exam.
