Louisiana State University BSN




 

Basic Information: Louisiana State University is located in New Orleans, Louisiana.  This program is set up for the entry-level freshman wishing to gain their BSN or transfer students who have completed their general education requirements. 

Must Dos: Students must apply to the Louisiana State University and to the College of Nursing.

Program Length: Four years total.

Nursing Prerequisites: Courses include College Algebra, English Composition, Biology with Lab, Chemistry, and Psychology.  These courses must be completed with a grade of a C or better.  Other prerequisite courses can be in progress at the time the application is submitted.  Other prerequisite classes can be found here.

Prior Classwork Information: Students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher.

Application Information: The application for the College of Nursing can be found here.  There is a $50 non-refundable application fee.  The application deadline for the College of Nursing is January 15th for fall admission and August 15th for spring admission.  The application for Louisiana State University can be found here

Admission Tests: Students must take the HESI Admission Assessment exam.
