Second Degree Accelerated BSN
Basic Information: Oregon Health and Science University is located in Portland, Oregon. A list of information sessions can be found here. This program is for students who have already earned a bachelor's degree in another field and have finished the basic requirements for their BSN.
Must Dos: Students must apply to Oregon Health and Science University and the College of Nursing.
Program Length: Five consecutive semesters. This program starts in either the end of June or the end of September.
Nursing Prerequisites: Students must have completed a bachelor's degree in a subject other than nursing. They must have taken Anatomy & Physiology I/II/III, Nutrition, Microbiology, Genetics, Statistics, English Composition I/II, Technical/Scientific Writing, nine Humanities credits, Human Growth & Development, and two Social Science classes. Students must have a prerequisite GPA of at 3.0 or better and a grade of B- or better in all prerequisite courses.
Prior Classwork Information: Students must have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
