Basic Information: Pittsburg State University is located in Pittsburg, Kansas. The program guide can be found here. This program is set up for the entry-level freshman wishing to gain their BSN or transfer students who have completed their general education requirements.
Must Dos: Students must apply to Pittsburg State University and to the College of Nursing.
Program Length: Two years long starting in the fall semester.
Nursing Prerequisites: Courses include College Algebra, Biology with Lab, Chemistry with Lab, Anatomy & Physiology with Lab, and Microbiology with Lab. Three of the five prerequisite courses must be completed by the application deadline. All courses must be completed with a grade of a C or better. Students must have an active CNA license upon admission with at least a 90 hour CNA course.
Prior Classwork Information: Students must have a cumulative GPA of a 2.5 of higher.

Admission Tests: Students must take the Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) exam and the ACT. International students must take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) exam as well.
