Basic Information: South Dakota State University is located in Brookings, South Dakota. The BSN program is also offered at campuses in Rapid City and Sioux Falls. This program is set up for the entry-level freshman wishing to gain their BSN or transfer students who have completed their general education requirements.

Nursing Prerequisites: Courses include Chemistry I with Lab, Introduction to Organic & Biochemistry with Lab, Psychology, College Algebra or higher, English Composition I, Sociology, Anatomy & Physiology I/II with Lab, Lifespan Development, Public Speaking, Microbiology with Lab, Nutrition, and Humanities. All prerequisite courses must be completed with a grade of C or better and a cumulative GPA of 2.7 or higher.
Prior Classwork Information: Students must have a cumulative GPA of a 2.7 or higher.
