Basic Information: Southern Connecticut State University is located in New Haven, Connecticut.  This program is set up for entry-level freshman wishing to gain their BSN or transfer students who have completed all required prerequisite courses. 

Must Dos: Students must apply to Southern Connecticut State University and to the College of Nursing.

Program Length: Four years total with students starting the nursing program their junior year.

Nursing Prerequisites: Courses include English Composition II, Statistics, Math for Natural Sciences, Human Biology I/II, Microbiology, General Chemistry I, Psychology, Lifespan Psychology, Physics for Life Sciences, and Principles of General, Organic, and Biochemistry.  Prerequisite courses must be completed with a GPA of 3.0 or better.  Students must complete at least seven of the eleven nursing prerequisite courses when they apply to the program.  All other prerequisite courses must be completed prior to starting the BSN program.

Prior Classwork Information: Students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.
