Troy University BSN




 

Basic Information: Troy University is located in Troy, Alabama. This program is meant for students who have completed all general education and prerequisite courses wishing to get their BSN.

Must Dos: Students must apply to Troy University and to the College of Nursing.

Program Length: The program lasts five semesters and is completed during your junior and senior year.

Nursing Prerequisites: Courses include English Composition I/II, Chemistry with Lab, Pre-Calculus Algebra, University Orientation, two Fine Arts classes (four credit hours), Anatomy & Physiology with Lab, Psychology or Sociology or Anthropology, Statistics, Fundamentals of Speech, Computer Concepts & Applications, Ethics & the Modern World, Microbiology with Lab, Literature, Developmental Psychology, Nutrition, and Pathophysiology. Courses must be completed with a grade of C or better. There is a list of all classes required on the main BSN webpage listed above.

Prior Classwork Information: Students must have at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA.

Application Information: The application for the College of Nursing can be found here.  There is a $20 non-refundable application fee. Applications are accepted from August 1st through September 15th for spring admission and February 1st through March 15th for fall admission. The application for Troy University can be found here
