Basic Information: The University of Central Oklahoma is located in Edmond, Oklahoma.  In Fall 2012 there 158 applicants to the program with 57 admitted. The average cumulative GPA was 3.51 and average science GPA was 3.40.  The FAQ page for the BSN program can be found here

Must Dos: Students must apply to the University of Central Oklahoma and to the College of Nursing.

Program Length: The program is five semesters after you have completed your required prior coursework.

Nursing Prerequisites: Courses include Chemistry, all Biological Sciences, Introduction to Nursing, and Individual and Family Development Through the Lifespan.  If students are transferring to the University of Central Oklahoma, Introduction to Nursing and Individual and Family Development Through the Lifespan must be taken before the first semester of the junior year of nursing. Two of the five required science courses must be successfully completed prior to the application deadline.  Anatomy must be completed prior to NURS 2207 (Foundations of Nursing) can be taken.

Prior Classwork Information: Students must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 or better.

Application Information: The application for the College of Nursing can be found here.  Students can apply to the College of Nursing after completing at least 48 credit hours of college level credits.  The deadline is the second Friday in September for spring admission and the last Friday in January for fall admission.  The application information for the University of Central Oklahoma can be found here

Admission Tests: Students must take the Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS) exam.  International students must take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) exam.
