Second Degree Accelerated BSN




 

Basic Information: The University of Kentucky is located in Lexington, Kentucky. This program is for students who have already earned a bachelor's degree in another field and have finished the basic requirements for their BSN. 

Must Dos: Students must apply to the University of Kentucky and to the College of Nursing.

Program Length: Four semesters that are integrated with the traditional BSN program.  This program is not technically accelerated but simply a program for people with a prior degree.

Nursing Prerequisites: Courses include Anatomy & Physiology, Biology, Microbiology, Statistics, Chemistry, and Psychology.  Students must complete prerequisite courses with a grade of at least a C and a cumulative science GPA of at least 2.75.

Prior Classwork Information: Students must have at least a 2.75 cumulative GPA.
