University of Massachusetts BSN




 

Basic Information: The University of Massachusetts is located in Boston, Massachusetts.  The average minimum GPA for last admission cycles have been around 3.2 for freshman and 3.4 for transfer students.  This program is set up for the entry-level freshman wishing to gain their BSN or transfer students who have completed their general education requirements. 

Must Dos: Students must apply to the University of Massachusetts and to the College of Nursing.

Program Length: Four years in total.

Nursing Prerequisites: Courses for transfer students include English I/II, Chemistry, Biology, Statistics, Sociology or Psychology, Anatomy & Physiology I/II, Microbiology, Human Growth & Development, and Nutrition. For students admitted as freshman, these courses do not have to be completed but it is recommended that they take these courses while applying to the program. Courses must be completed with a grade of at least a C+ for science courses and a C for non-science courses.

Prior Classwork Information: Students must have at least a 3.0 GPA.

Application Information: The application deadline for transfer students to the College of Nursing is November 1st for spring admission and February 1st for fall admission.  The application information for the University of Massachusetts can be found here.
