University of Memphis BSN Nursing School


 

Basic Information: The University of Memphis is located in Memphis, Tennessee.  This program is set up for the entry-level freshman wishing to gain their BSN or transfer students who have completed their general education requirements.  There is an early admission program that has the same requirements with exception of having a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 and needing to have completed all prerequisite courses at the time of application.

Must Dos: Students must apply to the University of Memphis and to the College of Nursing.

Program Length: The nursing program is five semesters long and does not include summer terms.

Nursing Prerequisites: Courses include Anatomy & Physiology I/II with Lab and Microbiology with Lab; these must be be completed with a grade of C or better and minimum combined GPA of 2.66.  Other courses include English Composition I/II, Sociology or Psychology, Math, and Nutrition; these must be completed with a grade of C or better.  These must be completed by the time of enrollment.

Prior Classwork Information: Students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.7 or higher.
