University of Miami BSN




 

Basic Information: The University of Miami is located in Miami, Florida. Students are admitted to this program as freshman, not when they are juniors. The traditional BSN program brochure can be found here. Incoming freshman have an average GPA of 3.7. This program is set up for the entry-level freshman wishing to gain their BSN or transfer students who have completed their general education requirements. 

Must Dos: Students must apply to the University of Miami and to the College of Nursing.

Program Length: Four years from start to finish.

Nursing Prerequisites: Courses include Anatomy with Lab, Physiology, Biology with Lab, Chemistry with Lab, Microbiology, Psychology, Nutrition, College Algebra, Statistics, and Human Growth & Development. There are other general education requirements that must be met including English, Humanities, and People & Society classes. Those requirements can be found here. Students must have a prerequisite GPA of a 2.75 or better.

Prior Classwork Information: Students must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 or better.
