Basic Information: The University of Missouri is located in Kansas City, Missouri. Students can be admitted to the College of Nursing as freshman or as transfer students.  Clinical experiences start the first semester of their sophomore year. There is a total of 1200 clinical hours completed throughout the program.

Must Dos: Students must apply to the University of Missouri and to the College of Nursing.

Program Length: Four years total.

Nursing Prerequisites: High school graduates admitted to the major should have completed four years of English, four years of math, three years of science with one being a laboratory class, one year of fine arts, and two years of foreign language.  Transfer students should complete Chemistry with Lab, Microbiology, Anatomy & Physiology with Lab, College Algebra, Nursing 101, and Health Sciences 101.

Prior Classwork Information: To be admitted to the nursing major as a freshman, high school students must be in the upper 10 percent of their class and have a minimum ACT score of 27.  Transfer students must have taken at least 24 credit hours with a cumulative GPA of at least a 2.75.
