University of North Dakota BSN




 

Basic Information: The University of North Dakota is located in Grand Forks, North Dakota.  This program is set up for the entry-level freshman wishing to gain their BSN or transfer students who have completed their general education requirements.

Must Dos: Students must apply to the University of North Dakota and to the College of Nursing.

Program Length: This program is five semesters after all prerequisite courses are completed.

Nursing Prerequisites: Courses include the following:

  •  ENGL 110

  • ENGL 130

  •  PSYC 111

  •  SOC 110 or  SOC 115, or ANTH 171

  •  CHEM 115/Lab and CHEM 116/Lab, or the sequence of CHEM 122/Lab and BIOL 150/Lab and BIOL 151/Lab

  •  ANAT 204

  •  PPT 301

  •  Mbio 202/Lab

  •  N&D 240

  •  MATH 103

Prior Classwork Information: Students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better.

  • February 1
    Applications for fall admission and all current transcripts due.
    Petitions pertaining to fall admission to the College of Nursing & Professional Disciplines nursing program must be submitted.

  • July 1
    Applications for Spring admission.

  • August 15
    Final transcripts due for any summer coursework for spring applicants and fall admits to Nursing.

  • September 1 
    Petitions pertaining to spring admission to the College of Nursing & Professional Disciplines nursing program must be submitted.

Admission Tests: Students must complete the Test of Academic Skills (TEAS) exam prior to applying.
