University of Northern Colorado BSN

Must Dos: Students must apply to the University of Northern Colorado and to the College of Nursing.  At the time of submitting the nursing application, students must be admitted to University of Northern Colorado, have completed all nursing prerequisite courses or be enrolled in courses, and hold a CNA license. The traditional BSN program begins in either summer or fall semester.

Program Length: This program is meant to be completed in four years with one required summer of study.  The final two years are nursing core courses.

Nursing Prerequisites: Courses include the "liberal arts core"  and nursing prerequisite courses. Prerequisite courses include Biochemistry, Biology, Anatomy & Physiology I/II, Microbiology, Pathophysiology, Nutrition, Human Growth & Development, Statistics, and College Research Paper.  Students must complete prerequisite courses with a grade of C or better.

Prior Classwork Information: Student must have a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.0 or better.  This is based off of the most recent 45 credit hours the student has completed as well as nursing prerequisite courses.
