University of Portland BSN




 

Basic Information: The University of Portland is located in Portland, Oregon.  This program is set up for the entry-level freshman wishing to gain their BSN or transfer students who have completed their general education requirements.

Must Dos: Students must apply to the University of Portland and to the College of Nursing. 

Program Length: Four years total.

Nursing Prerequisites: Courses include Introduction to Nursing and Healthcare, First Year Workshop, Nutrition, Life Processes Across the Life Span, Biology, Biology Workshop, Anatomy & Physiology with Lab, and Microbiology with Lab.  Courses must be completed with a cumulative GPA of 2.7 or above (for University of Portland students) or 3.0 or above (for transfer students), and a minimum grade of C or above in each individual course.  A list of all courses to be completed throughout the BSN can be found here.  General Education requirements must be completed prior to applying to the program.

Prior Classwork Information: Students must have a cumulative GPA of 2.7 or above for University of Portland students or a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above for transfer students.
