Second Degree Accelerated BSN




 

Basic Information: The University of Rochester is located in Rochester, New York.  This program is for students who have already earned a bachelor's degree in another field and have finished the basic requirements for their BSN. 

Must Dos: Students must apply to the College of Nursing.

Program Length: 12 months.

Nursing Prerequisites: Courses include Anatomy & Physiology, Microbiology, Growth & Development, Nutrition, and Statistics.  These must be completed with a grade of a C or better.

Prior Classwork Information: It is preferred that students have a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.0 or better.

Application Information: The application for the College of Nursing can be found here.  Application deadlines are November 1st for May admission, July 1st for January admission, and March 1st for September admission. 

Admission Tests: International students must take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) exam.
