University of South Dakota BSN




 

Basic Information: The University of South Dakota is located in Vermillion, South Dakota.  This program is set up for the entry-level freshman wishing to gain their BSN or transfer students who have completed their general education requirements.

Must Dos: Students must apply to University of South Dakota and to the College of Nursing.

Program Length: Four years total with the last two years being the nursing program.

Nursing Prerequisites: Courses include College Algebra, English Composition I/II, Chemistry Survey with Lab, General Psychology, Fine Arts, Literature, Anatomy & Physiology I/II with Lab, Organic & Biochemistry with Lab, Speech, Statistics, Human Development: Lifespan, Ethics, Nutrition, Pathophysiology, Microbiology with Lab, Sociology, and Professionalism, Values, & Interprofessional Communication (Nursing course).  Students must have a prerequisite GPA of a 2.7 or higher and a grade of C or higher.

Prior Classwork Information:  Students must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.7. Students must have a grade of at least a C in all general coursework.
