University of Southern Maine BSN




 

Basic Information: The University of Southern Maine is located in Portland, Maine.  This program is set up for the entry-level freshman wishing to gain their BSN or transfer students who have completed their general education requirements. 

Must Dos: Students must apply to the University of Southern Maine and to the College of Nursing.

Program Length: The nursing program is three semesters long during either the fall or spring semesters.

Nursing Prerequisites: Courses include "completed English and math readiness, English Composition, and Anatomy & Physiology OR Chemistry."  Students must take two of the following courses: Sociology, Human Growth & Development, and Psychology.  Students must have at least a 2.75 cumulative GPA in natural science requirements.

Prior Classwork Information: Students must have completed at least 30 credits with a minimum GPA of 3.0.

Application Information: Applications for first-year college students to the College of Nursing are due by February 15th for fall admission.
