Basic Information: The University of Mississippi is located in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.  This program is set up for the entry-level freshman wishing to gain their BSN or transfer students who have completed their general education requirements.

Must Dos: Students must apply to the University of Mississippi and to the College of Nursing.

Program Length: The program is four years in total.  The program consists of 62 credits hours of non-nursing prerequisite courses and 66 credit hours of upper-division nursing courses.

Nursing Prerequisites: The BSN degree plan can be found here.  Four of the five science prerequisite courses must be completed at time of application, but all must be completed at time of nursing class start.

Prior Classwork Information: Students must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5.  All courses must be completed with a 2.0 or better.

Admission Tests: The Kaplan Admissions Test must be taken prior to application submission.  Information on this test can be found here.  Students must also take the ACT and have a composite score of 21 or above.
