Wichita State University RN to BSN




 

Basic Information: Wichita State is located in Wichita, Kansas. This program is meant for Registered Nurses wanting to obtain their BSN.  The majority of programs require that you have your associate's degree in nursing (ADN). 

Must Dos: Students must apply to Wichita State and to the College of Nursing.

Program Length: Twelve to eighteen months.

Nursing Prerequisites: Courses include English Composition I/II, Public Speaking, College Algebra, Fine Arts Appreciation Course, Humanities, Philosophy, Sociology, Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Chemistry with Lab, Anatomy & Physiology with Lab, Microbiology with Lab, Statistics, and General Elective credits.  Students must have a grade of at least a C or better in all prerequisite classes.

Prior Classwork Information: Students must have at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA.

Admission Tests: Students must take the Test of Academic Skills (TEAS) Exam.  Minimum scores are a 69% in Reading, 63% in Math, 45% in Science, and 60% in English.
